my truck sounds a bit like a diesel when it starts. I bought it new a month ago and it always has a clatter during startup . I will try to listen to another 4.2. This sound is only with the starter turning not when the engine fires. My 95 302 did not sound this way in fact the 4.2 sounds like our companies 1995 7.3 PSD.

Has anoyone installed the facotry fog light kit with the new lower valance panel? I am considering it i think it looks great.

 

Mine sounds the same way. My brother thought it was a diesel when he first rode in it. Mine is a 01. I bought a lower valance and switch from a guy whose wife wrecked thier EB Expedition. I wound up wiring it with my own switch and relay cause the factory switch would not work with my wiring. It looks killer, especially cause I can runt he fog lights without the headlights being on. My truck is torredor red with the pewter bottom, and the valance is tan and I got the tan painted upper valance.
