Hey.. I just Got a Truck this past Weekend its a 88 Ford F250 Needs some work, But it should be Fun, Just Wanted to See if there are any other trucks from RI here?
I got my truck.....actually 1.5 trucks.....I'm pulling off the drivetrain (4x4), suspension and interior off my first truck (the 84, wrecked by a drunk) to put on my new truck (the 82). I'm kind-of in the middle of the big swap at the moment, but it should be out and about again in a couple of weeks....
Hey 88f250_INRI... what kind of work needs to be done on your truck....what are your plans for it? Also, beyond the car show at garden city on Mondays, do you know of any good car/truck meets in RI?
Well, My Truck needed Body work, a tune up, and the frame really needed to be wire wheeled and undercoated, also i have to repair the floor pans they are rotted, typical ford stuff i hear, but i only paid 900 bucks for it and its coming out great so far, i havefinshed the body work and we are painting it this weekend.
Its going to be my toy, and a work truck for my Landscaping Buisness
As far as car showa, garden city is the only good one i know about thats not all "rice burners", i live in scituate and there are a few places in West Warwick that have Cruise Nights
I was lucky too in that my new truck was only $900 as well, and the body and frame are in great shape--a little rust in the cab corners and fender, but not too much else. The tranny (c6) isn't in great shape, and I wanted the 4x4, hence the swap.
I live in Scituate as well, down in Hope, so maybe you'll see the truck around when I get it going. It's red with a big white stripe down the side, shortbox stepside....
Doesn't look like there are too many others from RI on the board...oh well....
I'm in RI and I have a truck. 2004 F350 XLT crew cab long bed 4x4. I'm in Warren. i see plenty of Ford trucks around but haven't seen many on this board.
