Smile Gear Ratio/ Tire sizes

I have a 2004 F-150 Fx4 with the 3.73 gears and 17" tires on it. I am looking to grear it up to the equivelant of a 3.55 with some taller mud tires. Any suggestions on what size to get to accomplish this? Thanks for any input.

I think your 3.73 would be just fine with bigger tires thats what i have 3.73 limited slip running 35's.Correct me if im wrong but to get better performance with bigger tires you would go with 4.10 from 3.73.
