Black Plastic Vent between hood and windshield

Is anyone out there having problems with the Black Plastic Vent between the hood and windshield. I have noticed a gap approx 1/8 inch where the two pieces come together in the center. I have tried to snap it back together, but it won't budge and I am affaid I may brake it if I apply too much force.

I haven't taken it to the dealer yet and was wondering if this would even be covered under warranty. I believe if the pieces are totally removed and then reinstalled it would go back together fine with no gap, however I don't want to take the chance of braking it. I would rather have the dealer do the work and if they brake the pieces then it's their dime. Thoughts anyone??

I have had a slight problem w/ that part(cowl, if I'm not mistaken). Mine would SOMETIMES rattle SLIGHTLY. I unsnapped it my self and then reinstalled(seems OK at this point). It unsnaps VERY easily. When the hood is open I just pushed w/ thumbs @ bottom(closest to engine) on ends and middle and then up. Ford really could have come up w/ a better fastening system for this. I was a little disappointed. But it certainly would be covered by 3/36 if your not up to it(I was just too lazy to bring it in for just that.

It is the leaf screen and their should be a small cross-car "gap" (you shouldn't see through it) for expansion when the plastic parts get hot. If you can see throuh it, i'd take it in.
