Not sure of any 1:8, although I have a '53 plastic body for a 1:18th size remote control car. Some of the RC mag's have the bodies, but not sure of size or make.
As usual not much help here, -4speed

48-50 Available

Used one of the kid's old off road truck chassis, and bought a clear 48-50 F-1 which fit's pretty good. I think it's 1/12 or 1/10 scale. I'd have to look but I know I have the manufacturerer's name somewhere for the body. Like anything doing with old trucks, you have to play with the mounting, but nothing big deal.

Tamiya makes what they call "Midnight Pumpkin" and it has a body of a '53. I believe that it's 1:10 scale and it looks pretty cool.

There was a fat fendered R/C truck at Radio Shack, but not all that big.
I'd bet that someplace there are 1/10 scale body shells for sale. Try an R/C hobby store; they'll have catalogs you can look through.
Myself, I'm looking for a '57 to '60 body. Biggest I've found so far is the die cast 1:18 scale.

From what I remember from my short stint in RC trucks, the Midnight Pumpkin was a 1/12th scale and the "standard" truck bodies were 1/10th. I used the chassis from the pumpkin and stretched it so I could put a bigger lexan body on it, along with monster tires and a bigger motor. I didn't even realize they still made the pumpkin because the one I used, I got about 14 years ago and it was a relatively old truck then.
