high output alternator

There are several variations on how to get high amperage alternators. Many companies have versions that fit the Ford motors, here are a few from a quick google search.

Be careful on which high-output alternator you purchase & install. Many dealers will sell you a high-output alternator that's not matched to the v-belt on your engine & or it may be an alternator that requires 2 or more belt pulley.
I found out the expensive way on my Mercruiser 496 MAG HO engine. I finally ended up purchasing a Balmar alternator & separate regulator & it's stressing my v-belt to the limit (new belt approx every 30 hours)
