Talking A/C Low pressure switch location???

Just bought an '88 Bronco. One thing wrong with it is the A/C doesn't work. I'd like to do some troubleshooting on it, and maybe fix it, without taking it somewhere and spending $$$$$$'s to get it fixed when I could do it for $'s.

Looks like the compressor is not engaging when the A/C switch is on. I've scoured the forums here and found a lot of good information on this and what to check. Looks like one cause could be it is low on, or out of, refrigerant. I'm going to try to jumper the compressor to battery to see if it engages. If it does it looks like then next step is to bypass the low pressure switch. This may prove it is low or out of refrigerant.

My question is where is the low pressure switch located?

I'd also like to get a shop manual, any good suggestions? I'll post this question again separately.

Thanks for the info on either book. I did look in a Chiltons for A/C info. For the most part it gave no info on A/C parts or location. I'll have to buy the book and look better.
