i need to know what piston is the #1 cylinder so i can time it on a 1968 534 in a T850 dump truck i just purchased ?? it has all new ignition and it runs like it is laboring all the time?? also need to know what the timing specs are ???

I had one heck of a time re-ordering the wires on one that someone had screwed up the order on, I could not for the life of me figure out the cylinder numbering. I had to take off the valve covers and take out the spark plugs and put bits of solder in the holes and then have someone bump the starter so I could see which order things were working in. This is what I came up with:
The reason I had such a hard time with it was that I had always been taught that the forward most cylinder was number 1, not so in this case.
