Air Conditioner

I have been hearing problems with AC. It was about 82 degrees outside, so I used mine today. I started it with 60 degrees and drove for 5 minutes when my hands started to freeze, so I adjusted to 72 degrees. This was also too cold. I had to adjust to 75 degrees for comfort.

My point is why some truck owners are complaining about A.C. I see no problem.

At 82F with a little humidity and the truck on recirc, fan on 4, I would be comfortable, but not cold. Thankfully you have a good AC unit however some of us are not that lucky.

You have to remember how many F-series there are out on the road. Normally, people find this site because they have some sort of problem or issue with their truck. Their numbers will be disproportionate most of the time. Is that to say that there isnt some sort wide scale AC problem? No. I have yet to try out my AC, so I cannot tell you whether or not my vehicle has this issue (its been totally issue free so far).

Are there different type of AC's built in the Ford Trucks? Does Ford know that some of there AC's are not functioning properly.

No Ac problems here, SFla 90+ degrees the Screw cab cools down just fine at 60 deg setting, then move it up to about 68. One thing I did notice if I lower the fan a little it cools down quicker.

I live in northern California where the temp is in the upper 90's to 100's for weeks or months at a time. I have not had any complaints about the A/C in my ’04 F150. Now obviously when the temp outside is over 100 and the truck has been sitting in the hot sun for hours, the interior can reach 120 or higher. The A/C takes a minute or two to start cooling down the interior of the truck. I usually help this along by opening a window or two to blow out the super hot air. The air here in California is low humidity. I wonder if the people who are having problems with their A/C live in areas of high temp and high humidity. That might be where the problem with some of the systems occurs. My2cents.

Don't think so since I live in S Fla with high temp and high humidity, and don't have a problem.
