build 460 with Stock EFI

I am acquiring a 90 F250 with a stock 460 that has 160k miles on it. I intend to rebuild it and the transmission this winter. I would like to keep the EFI but don't know if I can build the engine with a performance cam and head work and headers and still keep the stock EFI setup. Can an aftermarket chip be programmed for the performance editions I'll be making to the engine so that it will run properly?

The stock speed density can work with cams and the stock computer... up to a point. What are the specs on the cam? The head work and headers will require custom programming. www.motorhaven.com can do a SCT custom programmed chip for those mods...

I have not selected a cam yet. I am in the early planning stages of this project. The only thing I can say for sure is I want to be in the 450 Hp range when completed. I will call Motorhaven to see if this is viable or am I going to have to go with a carb.
