The street avenger is a dressed up 4160. They are the standard vacuum advance performance carb from holley. Very easy to tune once you learn it.

I have a 4160 on my 390 and it seems to work ok. It has been on it for many many years and sat for several years so it needs a rebuild. Does anyone know the difference in the renew kits for the 4160. There is a 510-37-1536 for $74.99 and a 510-37-720 for $27.99. I need to get it rebuilt before winter sets in because it doesn't want to stay running when it is cold. Which kit do I need?

Ford390gashog, once I get it rebuilt I will be able to let you know a little better how it works on the 390. Right now it loads up and doesn't want to idle when it is cold. It sat for so many years that all the gaskets are dried so it is sucking air where it isn't suppose to.

$72 for a renew kit???!!! That's outrageous. I was able to get a Trick Kit at Advance Auto Parts for around $20.
