Water drain on 7.3 deisel fuel filter
Hi everyone. I am a new member and I have a question about the water drain on the bottom of my fuel filter.
I changed the filter, but I CANT REMEMBER which way to turn the fuel drain **** to close it. Is it all the way in or all the way out to close?
I know, it is a dumb question, but I opened it and closed it so many times recently that I forgot which way is closed. Also, after changing the filter is there anything special I need to do? I tried starting it right after the filter change and it ran a little while then died. I guess it ran the fuel out of the line and hit air. Will cranking it over pressurize the system again?
Thanks for the help!!

Hi cb4771, welcome to FTE. I'm moving this to the 7.3 forum where you can get the help you seek faster than in the Intro's forum. Please familiarize yourself with the forum guidelines and the READ FIRST: posts in each forum to assist you in posting and finding the info you need. Again...welcome aboard!

Well, you can also go post there and ask in that area if you don't get much response here. Some days the forums are bustling with activity and some days fairly slow. Since you mentioned 7.3 in your original post title, I figured this would be a good start. Cruise around to the various forums and you might even try our search engine with your question.
