Question Overfilling

I am plum worried about running my stock pan dry whenever I drag race my friend and dad. So far there is no problems but when Im punchin it I wind her up to 4500RPM and I just wanted to know if it would ge acceptable to run 1 or 2 quarts more oil in the pan? The only reason im worried about overfilling it is becasue I dont want the oil to hit the crank and aerate it and of course lead to possible engine damage. So what should I do?

Thanks

It is fairly common to run one extra quart when drag racing just for that reason.

FORD352V8,
I am not trying to spend your money for you, but you can get a windage tray kit from DSC for $45. Includes 2 gaskets and the tray.

You can run 6 quarts in the stock pan ok. No more though, you dont want the crank whipping the oil.

For daily driving, keep it between the marks on the dipstick. (let it leak down there after putting the 6 quarts in)

When you install the windage tray, you need to verify that the oil dipstick doesn't ride up on top of it when it shoved back down the tube. I've had three or four trays now and all needed modifying to cure this problem. When the dipstick rides on top of the tray, the crank will break it off.
