Banks Big Hoss Bundle for 6.0L ??

I just found this site tonight & this is my first post. I just ordered the Banks 'Big Hoss' bundle ($2800). I spent so much time reading about all the performance enhancements I'm wearing glasses for the 1st time.

Does anyone have any experience with this new system yet? I've been told that Banks won't be shipping the Big Hoss bundle until the middle of September, but I'm curious if anyone has any feedback on the Six-Gun bundle at this point?

When I looked at the specs for the Big Hoss (156hp & 275 lbs ft torque), I was impressed, but now after reading some of the posts here, I'm wondering if I made a pricey mistake.

I have an '03 F-250 Super Duty, Ext cab w/short bed with an '04 Lance truck-camper w/slideout pulling a 28' Nordic powerboat. We're going to be leaving as soon as they complete the Banks install & travel around the country until next Spring. Also driving an '03 T-Bird ('007') pulling Polaris jet-skis.

Wondering if I might have problems with the Banks equipment, etc. I imagine we'll be in the middle of nowhere more than a few times & if anyone has any advice w/Banks bundles.

Also, I'm curious about oil filter bypass kits & if someone can recommend a high-quality one that's readily available. I only use Delvac 1 oil & having the trans & 4X4 changed to Mobil 1 before I leave.

Thanks for taking the time to read this rather lengthy post & I'd appreciate any info or advice given.

OilGuard is the way to go with teh bypass kit, they are one of our sponsors and a great product...I run it myself. I use MD1 also. IMO Banks is way too expensive....just IMO.
Call MotorHaven they have instant rebate on tuners.

Now WELCOME to the site.
Enjoy FTE

You could always tell Banks that you don't want to wait for the intercooler and would like to cancel your order. This would allow you to investigate tuners and exhaust upgrades that could give you performance increases similar to the Banks Big Hoss bundle but at a fraction of the price.

BTW, I am sure Banks makes a quality product and gets good results from their years of experience, but with the number of experienced people on this site you should be able to make your own "system" for less money.
