Are lakewood traction bars tough enough?

Lookin at getting some lakewood traction bars for $50 and was wondering if they are strong enough and give good support for some BITE on the drag strip.

If you don't want to spend the money for the Rancho style, then they will work fine. You need to get upgraded hardware though. Also, I think the snubber needs a spacer and needs to be trimmed or something. A friend of mine has a set and that's what he needed to do. I personally like the Rancho style. Took exactly a tenth off my 60' time the first time out.

I run the Lakewoods and had to trim the snubber down like yysenhimer said but they work. On the street, there is alot less tire spin and it feels more positive driving. I had no problem with the hardware, although I did purchase 8 flat washers to go over the mounting brackets. They hook hard at the track, I have seen high 1.6 60' times out of them. I would like to try a set of 28 inch tall slicks, never ran them but my 26 inchers are what I have gotten those times on.
