I am getting a shimmy when braking at highway speeds.

The front brakes have recently been replaced about a year ago, including one rotor. I noticed the shimmy on vacation this week when exiting the highway or slowing suddenly at highway speeds. The van is a 92 extended and has 145,000 miles on it with the 3.0 engine.

What is causing this problem?

Thanks in advance

For what it's worth, I had the same symptoms after tire rotation at a shop. I then loosened the front lug nuts on both wheels, and retightened manually with a torque wrench. Shimmy went away. Too tight lug nuts can warp the rotors, apparently.
