NICE truck- the options you've chosen are just about perfect, at least in my book.

Sticker price is $48735, invoice is $42913, FTE price $42413. Join AQHA and take off another $500, add $55 for the in-transit permit, and your out-the-door cost is $41968.

Jeff, thanks for the very quick response. (When I noticed the time stamp, I'm starting to wonder if you ever sleep ) I've got a couple more quotes to get here locally, but I have this feeling I'm going to get the pleasure of meeting you in NY. Really appreciate your help.

VintageRR, I really don't have a need for the PTO, but added it on the advice of Jeff. In some previous posts he has indicated that the transmission is "beefed up" internally with the PTO. Since I'm planning on keeping it for a long time, figured for around $200 it was cheap insurance.

F350 price increase?

Well, my goal was to get the truck ordered last week, but ended up on a business trip instead -- new goal is this week.

Heard today that Ford has now implemented a new $200 (approximately) price increase for new orders (above what was the 2005 initial price).

Price increase- yes, it's true. I knew Ford would do this, just as long as they could say that there was NO PRICE INCREASE when they first announced the truck. Some options went up, as well.

doublec4, nice truck! Did you get the same feedback on the 18" wheels that I did? I ordered an F250 and was told the 18" wheels were on hold until 12/31/04. Hopefully the hold will be lifted well before then.

Hessdk,

I have been told the same thing about a hold on 18" wheels until December if I were to order an F250. On an F350 SRW the 18" wheels are standard and there is no delay.

Does this mean anything for orders already in? My KR is due to be built 9/20.

Check with your dealer who placed your order. My order was placed on Aug 20 and is also due to be built 9/20. I was told that mine was in under the old pricing and will not see the increase. My dealer ordered a KR the other day and said the KR package went from $2995 to $3185.

Price is locked in when FMC excepts the vehicle to be built and issues a confirmation. Your price will be the old price at time of order.

Also did your dealer give you a copy of the Priced DORA.

Hope this helps

Truck on order

Well I did get my truck ordered this week.

Jeff, I was able to get a deal that mitigated traveling to NY -- sorry about that. I sure do appreciate your advice and assistance. You are great to deal with!! Thanks.

Now the waiting begins. Being told 6-8 wks.

Now have a build date

Found out this afternoon that I have a build date of 10/18. Also have the VIN# now. Hopefully that will put arrival around the first part of November.

Anxiously waiting.
