stock rim wide tire?

A 16X7" rim is designed to hold a maximum size tire. A 35" tire exceeds that recommended size and diameter. As windyhill pointed out, a 285 or 295/75X16" tire will fit without fitment or rubbing problems on turns. A 315 will hit on full wheel turn, especially in rough terrain. If you decide to go 35's, I concur with windyhill that a larger rim like a 10" rim would be the way to go.
Hope it works out for you... and Welcome to FTE!!!

Model #SSR-41R
Size 35x10.50R16LT
Ply rating 8
Tread depth 21/32
Tread width 9.0
O.D. 35.3
Cross Section 11.1
Rec. rim 16x7-9
Max. Pressure 65
Load rating 3415
It's not an E-rated 10 ply tire but does have a good load rating for a 8 ply. I have been thinking of running these, but haven't got the lift kit yet. I like the height of 35 inch tires, but don't want the rolling resistance of the 12.5" tire. I haven't heard how the SSR handle or wear, these are just my observations while searching for tires.
