FORD 429 Intake Manifold Swap
I have a 429 Ford and wanted to swap the old cast iron intake manifold. I think this may be a cobrajet because I saw the oval ports afterwards. I bought a Edelbrock StreetMaster Aluminum Manifold on Ebay auction and didn't know much about it (discontinued). It is in very good condition and hoped it would work. I removed the old cast iron manifold and saw it has the oval ports like the heads. The Edelbrock StreetMaster Aluminum Manifold has the rectangle ports. I was told that this can be used if I use the cobrajet intake gaskets. Anybody ever tried this swap?

heres some info
do you know what the code is on the heads. I have a 429 in my '82 F250 and it has DOVE heads it's a Thunderjet engine out of a 71 T-bird. do you know what your engine is out of? or the code? there are some great sites out there if you search under 429 Cobra jet it could be a super cobra jet which is a rare engine try this site out for the manifold to use http://www.dscmotorsport.com/asp/pro....asp?GroupID=4
and this one to find out the engine you havehttp://429mustangcougarinfo.50megs.com/components_3.htm
