I will change the green factory coolant in my '02 Ranger in late fall. There is still a few jugs of the old normal green stuff on the shelves of stores around here. Should I go ahead and buy it now while I can find it, or just trust this new stuff that is taking over the shelves at Advance and Walmart. I will probably keep the truck 2 more years so the old green stuff would be fine until it's traded.

 

If its gonna be gone soon, why bother with the extended stuff. Its likely that the next guy will change it out anyway. Save yourself the few pennies.

 

Thanks. The new stuff is actually cheaper or the same price. I found some regular green Prestone at Walmart and bought 2 jugs, I'll stay with what came in my truck for peace of mind.
