My friend has a Chevy 6.5 Turbo diesel that is giving him some trouble and was asking me if I knew of any good Diesel Mechanics in his area that know what they are doing. I'm not from Charlotte so I don't know of any. A Diesel Performance Specialist would also be good if anyone knows of any.

Just in case someone here has experience with Chevy's diesel this is what it is doing: Sometimes when going uphill it will start cutting out and coughing like it doesn't have any power and will lose alot of speed. As far as I know this happens with or without a load. The truck is a 1998? C3500. I think it is an auto.
I don't expect any technical responces, but if anyone could give me the name of a competent mechanic around Charlotte, NC I would really appreciate it!
