I received an e-mail from a friend who is currently looking after my truck while I am deployed and he gave me the bad news of a leak in the cab near the 3rd brake light. Thanks to this site and the input from different owners I know that this happens to many more owners than I would ever guess. Thanks again for your input.

Because of the way the head liner is on these trucks water can get in here and run to many different places. Down around the window and into the back seat or floor mats while the head liner looks dry. Good luck.

rear window leak
Has anyone experienced water leaking at the top of the rear window. My 2004 FX4 SuperCrew has 5800 miles. When it rains, the water leaks from the top of the rear window and falls on top of the seat. I plan to take it to the dealer, but was wondering if anyone else experienced this problem?
Have had 3 window motor assy replaced, rotors replaced 9,000 miles
spark plugs replaced at 20,000 miles and now at 77,000 miles and
tires replaced in front 4 times but alignment is fine.

Cargo light leak on 2008 F150
I bought a 2008 F150 in July in Indiana and drove it home (to Alaska) with a canoe on top. I went through some pretty good rain storms on the drive up and now I know that the canoe over the top of the topper and truck cab probably kept the light gasket from leaking. It warmed up here a bit lately and I went through the automatic car wash today. I heard some dripping and looked back to find water dripping from the top of the rear slider window. Must be the cargo light/3rd brake light gasket.
Does anyone have know where I can buy a better gasket than the OEM? Recon?
I'd like to fix this myself, Sounds like the Ford Service guys fix the leak with the same OEM gasket and I don't want to havea to go through this again.
Thanks
