Need part # for explorer limited stereo + cd

Does anyone have the part number for the the stock stereo and cd changer for the 1996 explorer limited. I think its the JBL system. Mine got stolen and I want to replace it with a stock stereo but need part numbers so I can get the exact same to fit with the stock harness. Also if someone that has an explorer limited can do me the favor of posting or taking a pic of the stereo/hvac panel and center console. I need to replace the panel and purchase the buttons but cant remember all the buttons. Thank you very much!!!!!

Ford should be able to get you the info you want. There weren't many options when it came to the 96's, maybe 3 different radios. Were you trying to find one on ebay? It is usually easier, and better, to get an aftermarket radio.....unless you have factory changer in the console that you want to keep, or you want cassette. One thing you'll need to know either way is which wiring system you have (which I think is what your asking lol).

It will either be this

or this

Sorry about the poor web site choices for pics. Go into Best Buy and ask to see a 71-1770 (first one) and a 71-5600 (second one). Emphesize on the "71".

You can also check out explorer4x4.com, their forums might have what you're looking for.

Yeah we have the stock cd changer and want to replace the radio with a stock unit to work with this. you are absolutely correct. I needed to know what wiring harness I have to work with the radio. I have bought a stock radio but need the cd changer. I will also have to purchase the wiring harnes as they were cut off when they stole the stereo. This is my brothers truck and he wants to keep it stock. If it were up to me I would definately go aftermarket radio and cd changer. Much easier. Thanks for the info. very helpfull!
