They have also the Falcon... The reason Ford Us states is that We Aussies do not have the Environmental Protection Agency screwing up everything... The Aussie engines do not comply with US mandates.. The Fairlane is really just a different skinned Crown Vic.. Still a good car though, with a 4 valve 302......

The EPA is here, and we have pretty much the smae rules as the states (they may be enforced a year later that is all).
The engines DO comply with US mandates, as many of them are US engines, we have the 3v and 4v 5.4l V8.
The Fairlane isn't a reskinned Crown Vic. It has NOTHING in common with a Crown Vic, exept it is a large rwd Ford sedan.
The Fairlane is a long wheelbase Falcon.
They don't have a 4V 302. The 302 stopped being sold about 2 years ago, to be taken over by the 3V and 4V 5.4l modular engine. We did have a factory 5.6l stroker for the 302 not that long ago.

anyone have anymore information on this?
1. The Fairlane (or Falcon) cannot be made in Left Hand Drive in their current format, and they won't be able to me made in LHD until at least 2007.
2. The Fairlane and Falcon are realatively expensive compared to US cars
IMHO the Falcon is vastly superior to the Crown Vic (I have driven one on a trip to the states). More powerful, looks, size, DYNAMICS, ergonomics etc. etc. But then I am pretty biased to...

I like that Falcon XR8. With dollar exchange it's $35,000US. Too bad it doesn't have a 302 4V. Kind of different seeing horsepower as kW..
I've seen RHD cars here. I don't think it's illegal to have one, just for a dealer to sell one?
Wonder what's involved with shipping. Take a trip to Oz to buy a used car..

Yeah, the XR8 is kind of cool, also you may want to look at Ford Australias Ford Performace Vehicle (FPV) website, they are similar to your SVT.
Don't know about the legalities of importing one, with regard to emissions, drive etc.
I think you will like the Pursuit Ute on the website below...

YUP they are, I currently own a 2004 Falcon GT-P, which also has the quad cam 5.4l, I have installed a supercharger, and a K & N air filter, with a Herrod motorsport intake system, yet to dyno it yet but looking at around 500 rwhp!!!! before I start looking at exhausts.... and this is with only 6lb of boost....

For the life of me, I can't understand why Ford doesn't import some of those models to the US. What an easy way to do battle with the GTO. GM has the GTO, Chrysler has the 300 and the Magnum, but Ford doesn't have a V8 performance car...except for the Mustang. We're hanging-on to our '96 Cougar because my wife loves it. She always drove RWD V8 cars of that size...had a Mark VII LSC before the Cougar. One of those Falcons would be perfact for her...hate to see her in a Dodge.
