Ford 2001 Escape, I have CD stuck in CD player. Bought a removal tool kit but it say some vehicles may have a "code protected" radio and that if it is to be restalled, you must have the code or the unit will not operate. Does anyone know if this relates to my SUV and if so, where can I find the code.
I think you are talking about 2 issues here. CD stuck in player has nothing to do with code. They use code so that theives can not just steal your player and put it in another vehicle.
I have never heard Ford mention using code for their factory cd/radio deck, don't think your's has code.
Well first of all, I hope I am replying to this correctly since I'm a new comer to using this system of email and treading . So here goes, thanks for the reply, so you are saying that if I take my cd/radio out of my vehicle to remove the stuff CD that I will not have to have a code when I put it back in?
