Question Where's the jack go?

Here's a question that someone out there with an owner's manual for vintage Ford trucks. I have a '53 F-100. I'm presently restoring it to a condition as close to stock as I can. I picked up a spare tire carrier years ago, and have finally got around to mounting it. Now it has occurred to me that I am completely in the dark regarding any kind of provision that Ford may have made for the jack and tire iron. I guess I had gotten so used to them rattling around under the seat that I never stopped to wonder whether or not there might be a more "designed" way to bundle up and store these essential pieces. Was there a certain factory Ford jack that came with the truck when it was new?

Under the seat

My '58 came with the jack, handle, and lug wrench under the seat. I remember my dad got so tired of listening to them rattle that he wrapped it all up in a burlap bag. I think I left it that way, I'll have to go look later.

My Dad bought a new Ford Pickup every other year from 1946 to the 70's and the jack was always under or behind the seat. Seem to remember they were screw types with long foldable handles. Also, would like to get an original for my 55.

My floor in the 54 has a divider running across the foor about 12" from the back of the cab. I figured that must have been to keep the jack from sliding around the floor. John
