Best sounding muffler????

What is everyones opinion as to the BEST sounding muffler for the 4.2l V6?

1. most muscular sound

2. deepest rumble

3. most V8 "LIKE" sound or least "4 BANGER" like

Just looking for advice

Flowmaster 40 series mufflers give you a nice rumble, but so do a few others. Flowtech Warlocks, Gibson cat-backs, Magnaflows...

just to name a few

I dont think there is a muffler that can sound as loud as an un-capped warlock muffler, even on an 87 honda accord hatchback

I have narrowed it down kinda to the flowmaster 40 or 50 delta flows and a magnaflow. However which one gives the better performance in terms of low end torque and HP. I have pretty much decided to go single in and single out so as not to loose low end torque. This decision was made after many conversations with the tech guys from magnaflow and flowmaster, who all said I should stay away from SI/DO regerdless of pipe size. They also all said the single would give me more performance, unless I went with headers and true duals. However they ALL say their product is the best. Please help, I am drowning in these weighty decisions.

Well..I am not sure of performance of the other two, but I DO know that the warlock muffler I mentioned by flowtech gained 11rwhp on a dyno. I can find the thread for anyone wanting the info, but the site is not approved of at FTE.

I would still go with the Flowmaster 40 Delta, it's best on the 4.2L! When you stated "They also all said the single would give me more performance" is that meaning the single in single out setup??

I have recently switched to a magnaflw muffler dual out from a flowmaster 40 dual out. Both with turndowns. I find the magnaflow when you get on it sounds much better. Sounds mean. The flowmaster, can get strained sounded after so many rpm. Truthfully I think I got better gas mileage with the flowmaster. You call the flowmaster was really loud though

I concur.

Those things are pretty loud uncapped...Talley uncapped his at the track...I think...killed my Flowmaster in sound. I plan on getting 1 or 2 ...true duals or not true duals...that is the question.

true duals are sweet, i have seen them only a few rare times....if you look at my tip in my gallery there is this *** kid with a dodge in town with dual exhaust but with my like 7-12in. dual tips on both pipes... it looks sooo badd because u can see the whole tip unlike mine...

How does that uncapping deal happen now? Sounds like a future possible job, does it throw your computer of or mess anything else up??

When the warlock is UNCAPPED, its just like having straight pipes....IMHO, NO muffler can sound better.
