New Flatheads??
Hi Folks,
This may be a silly question but I'm curious. A friend has told me that following WWII the military stockpiled a bunch of flatheads in Europe and that some are actually still available brand new in cosmoline. Is this guy yankin' my chain or has anyone here ever heard of this? Slap me if I'm just stupid!!
Thanks,
Gene (68horses)

Hey
You have heard one of those storys to. I don´t know if they exist, but almost every country have storys about some old engines in some strange place. At least there are storys about this ultimate dream. Even if they are true and some engines exist, it will
be impossible to by one. If they aren´t for sale in a normal way ,forget them. Wernerman

I think it may be a twist of the "French Flathead" story. France built and used the Ford Flathead design up until a few years ago in some of their military vehicles. Acouple of years ago someone bought all the remaing stock brought it back to the USA and they are being sold as "New Flathead" engines.
Google "French Flathead"
