I believe it's down to $500 from $750 IIRC.

99% sure, I'll check around the other posts to be absolutely sure.

edit: after lookng around, it was the AQHA rebate that they were talking about being carried over 'till the end of the year. However after getting pricing on an '05 with Jeff "1956MarkII" I asked him about the military discount, his answer led me to believe that it was still valid. but I'd wait for someone (like him)to chime in and give you a definitive answer. Sorry I can't help more.

From the Ford site the ** is at the bottom of the page

**For Military Personnel (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard), National Guard, Reservists or Retirees (20 years of service) who are residents of the United States. Qualifying buyers will receive $500 Bonus Cash good toward the purchase or lease of All new 2003/2004/2005-Model Car, SUV and Truck through F-550. July 7, 2004 through September 30, 2004.

This discount can NOT be combined with the AQHA discount.

Just a follow up on the military discount. It is good on just about any 04. Although it says it is on 05's (on fords web site) it depends on what region you live in. Southeast was a No. The business mgr called ford after my complaint and this was their response. So check it out, have your dealer print a Vincent report on your Vin# to see what rebates are available. I received No rebate because I purchased under x-plan. Although AQHA was offered, but I am not a member. Unless things change soon dont expect much, if any, rebate on an 05. Thanks

Seems to me that the quote I lifted directly from Fords web site two days ago is very specific and no exclusions.

"All new 2003/2004/2005-Model Car, SUV and Truck through F-550. July 7, 2004 through September 30, 2004."

This is offered to all military makes no sense for a regional limitation...ask again

Wink

Fredvon4,
I just passsing on info. on a rebate that was in question when I purchased my truck. I have no reason to post false info about this rebate. I questioned the rebate because it wasnt on my vincent report when printed, which by the way goes be Vin# and your zip code. I was just as dissappointed. Read the info on your own posted link. See the **. Read it all . RESIDENCY RESTRICTIONS APPLY.

PS. Fredvon4 I thought the purpose of this fourm was to help each other with questions and problems about ford products. Dont be so narrow minded. If you seem to know everything then why read any of posts here. I hope you dont run into the problem that I did. I respect anyone who has served our country and I think we all deserve this measly rebate requardless of what region we live. I personally served with the 2AD @ Fort Hood, TX also.

Got it added to mine out here in Hawaii. if it's really important for you to get the Mini-Mil-rebate, try using an out of state dealership or contact Jeff for a drop-ship to you.

Aloha!

05-350 not trying to be "narrow minded" just trying to help a fellow military person get an advertised incentive. I have a dog in this hunt being here in Fort Hood waiting on my new 05 to be delivered and banking on the $750 bonus cash back when I placed the order. I went ahead and spent the $30 to be a AQHA member to hedge my bets. Once Ford re announced the military appreciation bonus cash at the $500 level I personally talked several acquaintances to NOT get the AQHA as Ford was back in the Bonus Cash game with us.

Now can you imagine all the ill will of offering a MILITARY APPRECIATION bonus and then excluding ALL the soldiers at Fort Hood or Fort Bragg or Norfolk Navy Base? Just doesn't make any sense to me, and I bet your dealer is dead wrong. This is a principal thing and is not about you and your unfortunate circumstance. I like my dealers service department but hate their sales side and if they did NOT fight to get me this Bonus I would walk and trash talk them and Ford LOUD and CLEAR!

Here is the entire ** exclusion/rules:

** Not all lessees qualify for Ford Credit RCL. Some payments higher, some lower. Residency restrictions apply. Take new retail delivery from dealer stock by September 30, 2004.

**For Military Personnel (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard), National Guard, Reservists or Retirees (20 years of service) who are residents of the United States. Qualifying buyers will receive $500 Bonus Cash good toward the purchase or lease of All new 2003/2004/2005-Model Car, SUV and Truck through F-550 (Excl. 2005-Model Mustang, Ford GT and Escape Hybrid) NOTE: Final Paid Units are NOT eligible. July 7, 2004 through September 30, 2004.

Note in the first ** callout, the subject of the sentence is lessees and the second sentence in the same paragraph notes that there are residency restrictions. In the English Language all sentences in a paragraph relate to the subject or idea within that paragraph. (No I am NOT trying to give you an English lesson, just stating MY rational for my opinion and position)

In the second ** call out, the residency requirement is the United States.

I am sorry if you inferred by my post that I was disputing your caution to all of us to check it out. I was not intending to impugn your word or experience. Simply trying to provide the ammunition to shame Ford, maybe your dealer, and possibly help some other military member get the advertised "Bonus Cash".

It is very clear that Ford and other manufactures want to gain the good will of the public by appearing to be grateful to the Military for the contributions during this current war on terror. This incentive is not motivated to "move the overstocked 04's" as all the other cash back and other rebates are.

It makes no sense to regionally exclude any group of service members based on some region. As an example of this I would have the reader examine the wording of the note above. Ford does a good job of including all Active Duty, Reservists, National Guard, and retirees purchasing or leasing ALL 2003,2004, 2005 models and only excludes 3 specific vehicles.

500 off, no problem

I bought a new F-150 on Monday. I'd heard about the military rebate, asked for it, and got it. Additional $500. Total off the sticker was right at 8,000 discount. I'm happy.

Hey Thanks for the info all! I just bought an 05 250PSD Lariat & was told by the dealer that the military rebate didn't apply to the 05's. I am picking it up tommorrow, I've printed out a page from ford's website, I should be able to get another $500.00 off! Thanks again, will let you guys know what happens!

Rebate update....Dealer pulled a Vincent report, it showed no rebates at all for 2005's.....so I didn't get it yet.....they did give me a number to call Ford customer service, hopefully they will come through! Anybody else have similiar problems? I really like my new truck, its a 05 SD PSD4x4, lariat with the manual shift on the fly instead of Electronic SOF....the dealer had the truck for 3 days, its even the color I wanted! I got the truck for invoice too! Thanks to all the folks that post here that gave me a better idea of what I wanted!!!!!

Picked up my 05 F350 King Ranch V10 yesterday 3 Sept. Cove Ford in Copperas Cove Texas (Fort Hood area) asked me (without any mention by me) if they could have a copy of my retired military ID so they could process my Military Appreciation $500 Bonus Cash incentive.

While waiting for the "mortgage closing" another salesman asked a soldier who was tire kicking if he knew about the Military Bonus Cash.

harleyrdr611,

Keep me posted if you get the rebate. I'm at a dead end on this. You and I are in the same region, from what ford is saying this is why it is'nt coming up on our vincent report. Its not avaible in our region.
