Arrow Tilt Wheel & MPG

yeah, it's me again. I have whined once or twice about the tilt wheel mechanism as being a step backwards from the spring-loaded handle. Not that big a deal but the spring-loaded would have been a nice touch.
Anyway the dang thing came off in my hand today. Ford dealer fixed it quick, stating he'd seen one like this before and it seems it simply was not snapped on very good at the factory. Apparently the handle is not bolted on.
Enough about that though

As for the MPGs...I just returned from a trip to San Diego. Freeway was 250 mile rnd trip @ 80-85 MPH, Hwy 60 to Hwy 15, and the rest was 250 miles split evenly between LA freeway commute (40 mph, stop, 15 mph, stop, 30 mph stop) and regular city driving. I had to get on it a few times for maneuvering but generally just drove normal. Not grandma but also not racing.
500 miles on the 37 gal tank, taking 31.5 to fill = 15.87 mpg!!!!

edit - just wanted to add that this includes my wife driving to work twice for 40 miles of city driving. I mention this cuz she does not treat the gas pedal linearly. To her it is an ON-OFF switch.

woo hoo!!! Not bad for now having 1700 miles on her!! Not the BEST reported, but can't complain either.
Oh and BTW - the computer showed 15.6 mpg with 90 miles to E. Pretty accurate it seems. Actually I find the computer to be accurate whenever I check with more that 150 miles used on a fresh tank.

Just wanted to brag - thanks for listening.
