Okay Dean, how about we give you a chance to redeem and see if you can actually post any technical discussion rather than stuff like "The Hemi is Back" or like this thread that use to link to one of your dodge sites.
If you're unable to participate in providing actual tech info, then I'm afraid you're going to be keeping me and Tim busy and we don't like being that busy.

I mean, if you have tech info, not just bashing, but if the salesman talked her out of it...

Maybe I'm crazy but I just don't see what anything Dodge does would effect the toughness of the Ford product. If you want to say that dodge is tough now too b/c of the power wagon then well maybe you have a case but saying Ford isn't b/c of that thing is like saying that apples don't taste good b/c someone else grows oranges...get it?

Good point. Dodge is making a killing by bringing back the HEMI. Ford better beef up the 5.4 L Triton soon, if they want to compete. I found it quite funny when they raced the 04 F-150 with the 04 HEMI Ram. The Ram killed it in the first race then to equal the playing field they filled it up with gravel, raced it again and it still beat the F-150. Not that the Triton is bad, but the HEMI is that much better.

Ok I'm not bashing but his statement was "these are not the hemi's of yester-year. Fuel economy sux, can't pass a gas station!"
Actually they had to order the one she wanted, took a week to get it too.
the Hemi Durango's are selling like hotcakes and he wanted to get a non-Hemi version off the lot

I know the Hemi doesn't get supre gas mileage, but they aren't as horrible as people would like you to believe.
Point is, salesmen rarely know anyhting about the vehicles they are selling. When I ordered my 04 F-150 4x4, I had a salesman at one dealership try to get me to order a 2wd because "there are less parts to wear out, and it gets double the gas mileage." Gee, thanks, I gladly took my business elsewhere.

Correct me if I am wrong, but they did not bring back the hemi, just the name. Is there a 426 option I didn't notice? The latest so called hemi head is based off a Porsche design as admitted by Chrysler. Dodge makes good trucks, but seems their only claim to fame right now is an engine, what about THE TRUCK itself?
The hemi is better because it can win a race? Call me crazy but I didn't buy a truck to race. This would make the Titan's engine the best ever?

I have to voice my disappointment: New Expeditions with IRS = reduced payload = Ford losing the "built tough" reputation My '98 has a 2,000lb payload capacity... find me ONE SUV in the Expedition's class (besides the H2) that has a payload anywhere near that!
Edit:
OOPS! My Expedition has a better payload rating than a "tough boy" Nissan Titan (1,585lbs)!!!

I agree with you, and you know the public is driving this. More want an SUV to haul groceries than payloads, not that…the food thing is bad…..they just don’t look at it like a truck anymore…just my opinion.
