Seat/Seat belt Chaffing on 2000 Explorer
My 2000 Sport two-door has a problem which Ford admits to but does not have a solution. When the seats are forward for those who are vertically challenged, the seat belts make a knife-edge contact with the outboard side of the seats in the vicinity of the head rest. The covering is being cut to shreads. Local Ford dealer says it is a design flaw and has no fix at the moment. I could add some additional covering to minimize the damage - but- I want Ford to do something first. Anyone else have the same problem ???
