Smile 56 ford truck pitman arm

I am looking for a stock 56 ford truck pitman arm. It is needed to complete my Toyota steering box install. If anyone has one please respond to this thread.

Thanks,

Is it the same as the 53? I would assume it is. If so I think I have the one I took off when I did my toyota install.

Glackowitz and tgrefoire, can you give me the diameter and the number of grooves for the pitman arms you do have. I want one that is closest to the 30mm and aprox. 50 grooves...thanks.

I will see if I can find it tonight and take get some numbers for you. I assume you are going to try to make your own arm?

I paid like $95 from Bob's f100 for mine. Just an FYI

UHHHHHH BArt

The splines on the Toyota and the Ford do not match up. That's why you but the arm from Bob or whomever. To drive the Ford arm onto the toyota box causing them to mate may not be the best idea in the world. You may be asking for trouble. That's why these guys who have already done the swap have the old pitman arms to offer you. Just want you to be safe

I will also take a look at the one I got from Bob's. I believe they simply cut the ends off the toyota and the ford and welded them into a piece of 5/8" thick (or so) flat steel. So if you trusted your welding skills and had the equipment to weld that thick you could make your own.
