I have the opportunity to buy an 1986 turbo diesel ranger. It's a 5spd 4x4. My question is what kind of hp do these have? The guy told me it was a rare car, is it? How do these handle boost?

More important than that is, rumor has it that parts are getting really hard to find for those trucks.

Very little hp. There mainly for MPG's. Probably like 90hp on a good day.

I know that the N/A version was like 50 hp.

 

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm a FORD man, i've got a lot of SHO's, and i kinda wanted to see what i could do with this truck by raising the boost and mabye putting an aftercooler on it. Does anyone ever tweak these trucks with the stock motor in them?
