Help w/ spark plug SOHC '98 XLT

1998 Explorer XLT 4WD V6 SOHC
I need help in replacing the last spark plug located on passenger side towards back of engine. Access is limited due to nearby AC unit. Any suggestions or special tools needed? I've heard on V-8 engines you need to raise vehicle and remove wheel. Same for SOHC too?
Thanks.

Help w/ spark plug SOHC '98 XLT

Just did that this weekend. Raise the truck and remove the passenger side front wheel. Be sure to chock the oposite side rear wheel and use jack stands. The rubber splash guard can then be removed and all of the sparks can be gotten quite easily. I used a 3/4 spark plug socket to a u-joint and then three 8 inch extensions on a 3/8 drive socket wrench the extensions allow you to bring the socket wrench out into the wheel area so you have more room to turn. Now my question.... how did you get the wire off of the forward most spark on the drivers side. My nine year old son could hardly get two fingers on the wire. There is an exhaust riser here that makes it difficult to get to. Also I bought the Bosch platinum plugs at 1.99 each vs 6.00 each for the motorcraft.

Thanks for advice on passenger side spark plug. As for the front drivers side, you need to remove the battery!
