I (although not a true montanain, i live close enough and i spend alot of time there) will be participating in the Mud bog that is in Great Falls this Saturday which will be held at the fair grounds. IF there are any of you out there want to participate the registration time is i believe 8 to 11 (might start at 9 though) and starts at noon, but this is the first bog these guys are puttin on so they will probably start late. Anyway If anyone is attending i will be driving the Red 81 F-250, with a turqoise door and faded blue hood, and 35 inch boggers, come over and say hi.

Well i ended up getting screwed, i had the furthest distance (116 ft) in the deep pit, then we were told that we weren't going to have another run, so me and my buddy loaded the trucks on the trailer (didn't strap them down though), then the told us we were going to run again through the swallow pit (dried up, roughest pitt you could imagine), so after cutting 3 of the 4 brand new boggers, we had had about the 5th fastest time. So once the results came out we found out that they didn't even count the first run at all, and so we got diddly squat (buddy broke the shaft between the tranny and t-case it was quite interesting loadig him up on the semi) for our efforts. So unless we get an invitation or something i don't think we will be going down cause they should count both runs and garantee us 2 runs as well.

Man, that's a bunch of crap! You gotta watch out for those local bogs, man. I know around here, if you're a member of the club, they'll let you run a nitrous injected dual quad tunnel ram 502 in an S-10 in the stock class, but try running an F-150 with an aftermarket intake will get looks from the judges. Shame they can't be staright-shootin with everyone the same way.
yeap, thats why i'm not going back unless i get an invite then MAYBE i might go to it again, other than the one hole that one guy dug the actual pit itself (the deep one) was one of the best ones through out the year.

Tell me about it!!! I've been attending the bogs with a friend of mine now for 5 years and they always let the 'popular' guys run in a lower class than the other folks....also let 'em get away with cheating (driving on the sidehill of the pit). Also, the rich people can enter their trucks 8 million times and let all of thier friends drive through the pit (and they wait until everyone else has registered so that they get the last 25 runs in a row...of course they'll win).
So, invite THEM up to your pit ... and make sure to let them know the rules they use to benefit them at home, will be used to benefit you .. at home. I hate good ole boys clubs.

Yeah no kidding i think that i will send an invite down there (acutally i think that they-my buddy that was with me, and the guys that put ours on-are running a bunch of posters down to the guys that put it on) and i know that they will be given a hard time up here cause although we aren't a club we are all neighbors and have been farming together for who knows how many years.
