1950 F-3 front brake drums

Well I measured mine today and found that they are very worn. The manual says 12 +.020. I measured 12.125 with a measuring tape. Guess I will be putting the entire truck on jack stands and seeing what else I need and make one big order. Anybody know the price for the front drums. I imagine I need both unless someone replaced one along the way.

Yes, definitely take a look at your local parts stores (NAPA, Autozone, Pep Boys, etc.). You'd be surprised what they carry for our 50+ yr. old trucks.

If www.joblot.com is any indication is close they are about $80.00 each. That cold get expensive if I have to replace all four. I can go to Napa but there is not much of a need to get the drum measured. I bet there are grooves deeper than the spec tolerance.

I didn't think it was a good idea to just replace one drum...?
