Unhappy VIN alternate locations on 54' f-250

Friend lost the data plate that was on the door pillar. Can the vin be found on the engine block or the frame somewhere?

Thanks

Thanks

But that area of the frame must of had rust on it because it has been resurfaced and painted. The VIN number there is unreadable.

Is there another stamping somewhere or is my friend SOL?

SOL, It is not on the frame horn like some posts suggest. Gonna look like a stolen vehicle to DMV. Don't know what they're like where you are, but they dont cut old car enthuastists any slack here in AZ. I'm having a helluva time titling a truck with all matching #'s and a Bill of Sale. Good Luck, you'll need it. I'm thinking about just buying a good titled chassis and Data Plate off a project truck someone got tired of and putting my sheetmetal on it. David
