need speedo cable C6

i went thru the local scrapyars today looking for a complete speedo cable setup for a c6, found out why my speedo wasnt working, the cable and cable housing was completly gone. so i need one, it is on a 1970 f-250 if that makes a difference. I know i can get one from pella if i really have too. anybody got one ? and fellro i am done with the lift but i havent got my truck all the way back togather yet, soon as i do i will bring it back, or if i get real attached to it ( which i already have ) i just will mail you a c-note for it. i will let you know either way.

Yeah I figured it could be a bit with all the fun you've been having. I don't know if it would accept one from a 150, if so, I have one here I'll bet, just have to jack the truck up to get it, kinda in the dirt. My 75 had similar deal, you have 2wd, right? should be able to rob it off one out here, got some in your vintage and newer

Hey Fordlover... Did you happen to notice if any of those places you searched had a speedometer? Mine has quit working. I had the cable checked and it is good, and we're pretty sure it's the speedo that is the problem. Mine is the manual transmission, but I don't think that makes a difference for the speedo itself. I found one out of Tennesee, but they wanted $130 for it. I missed one on ebay a couple weeks ago too.

I just read through this thread quickly, but did you bother to try a parts store for a new one? Last I knew, they sold them.

Where's this place that they're crushing a bunch of old trucks at?
Would like to pick thru them for some trim parts (if possible) before they turn them into blenders or (my fav) goal posts.

it is mikes auto parts here in burlington iowa, they crushed 17 of them last week, i was dismayed for sure, there was some good glass in most of them, i should have gotten it. he has about 17 left i think there is a 66 with all the trim but i dont remember completly. i know there is several f100 at least 2 f250's all from the 67-72. 1 has a complete engine, there is a bronco i took the fan shroud out of today, i pulled that gauge bezel out of a 72 f250 there is one just like it in a f100 right next to it. give me a call i will show you around, i need to get some glass anyway, if that place doesnt have anything i know another place that i get parts from time to time too.
