427 Chevy into '79 F100 2wd
Anyone ever put a 427 or other rat motor into a 73-79 F100? Obviously the issues would be motor mounts and tranmission / driveline.

I suppose you have one to put in there. Stick with the 460 or 429. To me Ford motors in Ford trucks. A 460 will make that truck scream. Let me put it this way would a Chevy guy put a Ford in his truck. No way. He definitly should. But he wouldnt. So be it with Ford. I hate it when people put Chevy motors in Ford vehicles. BTW the 460 is superior to any Chevy motor.

Here is my question? Why put an inferior brand products into a great vehicle? If it's ford keep it ford, if it's chev keep it chev, see where I am going... It's far easier and cheaper to keep with the same brand than try to "afro-engineer" something else to fit.
