How do I get inside the dash on my 92 Explorer XLT?
Remove the astray assembly. You will find 2 screws on either side of holder assembly. Remove the screws and remove the holder and disconnect the wiring harness. This will free up the black dash trim on one corner. Pull / pry the remainder of the dash trim off the dashboard. It is held in with pressure spring clips into slots in the dash, which will come out with relative ease.
