I have noticed lately going around corners slow that my tires really squeal. and also my tires seem to be wearing on the outside. I have a 2000 Eddie Bauer Expedition with 60,000 miles and I know the shocks are original. Can bad shocks cause this? I am thinking of putting a set of Bilsteins on. is this a good choice, I do tow with it also, Thanks Brian

 

Have you checked the air pressure lately.

actually yes, i have checked, i run 30psi front and 35 psi rear. I have even tried 35 in front and that didn't help anything.

 

also, could someone please tell me where the GEM module is located? thanks

 

With 60K miles on your rig, it's time for new shocks. I'd also have the alignment checked. How many miles on the tires? I've had tires that were nearing the end of their useful lives that made similar sounds.
