Cb Radio And Powerhorn

A guy in my neigborhood drove by in an H2 saying something over a PA, like what cops have. Does anyone know what type of setup this might have been? I've done some research and so far it seems like it's a CB radio paired with a powerhorn.

if this is right, has anyone installed such a thing and if so, any ideas on where under the hood to fit the powerhorn?

this seems like a toy that can give me hours upon hours of mischevious fun. muahahaha...MWAHAHAHA....muahahahahahahHHHAHAHAHAH AH!!!

There are many places that carry replacement horns and bull horns to broadcast your voice over. I think you can find just about anything you would want related to that from JC whitney. Plus, they have pretty good prices. I want to get a barge horn for my truck and mount it up to the stock horn buttons and wires.

I have one in mine. You can see pics in my gallery. I have a cobra 25 Night Watch installed on my transmission hump. Most CB's come with a PA option switch, which I hooked up to a speaker underneath my hood. Sounds cool. I also have a 9' whip antenna mounted in the middle of my toolbox.

I had a local CB shop install the whole setup parts and labor for $200. I provided the CB radio.

thanks guys, this is awesome.

Scott, nice truck! i checked under the hood and it doesn't seem like there's much room to fit the small power horn i'm planning to buy. can you tell me exactly where they placed it?

JC whitney sells just the PA set up. The things make all kinds of noises, animal sounds and such.

I doubt i would use the extra noises as much as i would use the CB feature, so i may go with the CB radio. my biggest '?' is where to place the powerhorn without it being in the way of other things.

You got 3 places to mount it that i found. First is between the radiator fan shourd and the front bumper. Doesn't look like your truck has the trailer package so this area should be free. It will sit below the radiator but will be several areas where the sound can get out. Second and third areas are in front of the airintake by the firewall on the driver side and behind the airintake on the same side. Good look and post pics once you get it set up.
