SES Light Reset

How do I reset my SES light on my '99 Expy 5.4L without a scanner? It came on after my mechanic cleaned the injectors (he said it would) so I don't need to read the code I just want to reset it because I am taking a trip, and I want to know if the light comes on for a different problem.

I went to two different Autozone's and they were both too busy to help.

Update - I went back to Autozone yesterday evening and now the guy tells me that they do not reset the SES light anymore. He said he can download the codes, but I will have to take it to a mechanic to have the light reset. What a PITA...

You can remove the negative battery cable for about 15 minutes to reset the computer. If there is no problem, the SES light will go out. It will take a few miles for the computer to "relearn"
