I have a 2002 Explorer Limited w/V8 and factory remote starter. There are a few problems. Twice (once w/engine hot once cold) the starter has seemed to "miss" when starting. By that I mean that it makes a loud grinding noise (similar to that heard if the key were to be turned to start when the engine is already running) while starting. It only does this with the remote starter. The other problem is that on one occasion, with two identical tries, the vehicle started normally, ran for two seconds, and then stalled.

Any ideas?
