You can use the tops for the 80-91 Broncos. You just won't have the third brake light or the seat belts for the back seat. If you have a roll cage, you can put the seat belts in it.

I still can't understand why people want a soft top. I used to have a jeep that had one and i hated it. Thats why i got a bronco (plus they are huge ) Anyone know why?

Thanks, can you tell me if it bolts to the existing holes for the hardtop? I just have a basic four point 'cage, so I can't use the belts either.

Well, not to stray off the subject, but I too once had a jeep, and also hated my soft top. Let me ask you this; have you tried to lift on your (92-96) hard top by yourself in a rainstorm? It's freaking heavy! In spring, summer, and fall, I sure would like to keep the top off for the majority of the time. Put the hard top on in the winter.

Which kind of top are you looking at? You have to drill holes for the snaps on most of the tops Ive seen.

Well I saw the ones at Bronco Graveyard, which would work fine. I was more curious if anyone knew of other tops than those. I'm not sure exactly what kind I want, probably just the fastback-style. BUT, I would rather not drill holes -(funny because I cut my fenders for bigger tires, but I won't drill holes? LOL)

You know what else is funny, today it rained. Luckily I always carry a tarp, The storm will pass by tomorrow.

I've got a Skyler soft top for my '93. They are quite expensive $569. They do make the bronco look really cool though. http://www.skylercorp.com/It looks like the company is for sale. If they're still in business they may have existing stock for sale though.

I got the fast track from stc, and like it quite a bit. It goes on in a couple of hours with basic tools, doesn't leak, and doesn't flap around like the jeeps I've been in. It's not cheap but for the price of a set of tires it gives you the chance to go topless without sweating the rain, and even with the top up and just the windows out it gives the truck a very distinctive look. Drilling amounts to mounting the cab aluminum frames about 15-20 screws there, and four more on the bed side rails to mount the pivots for the canopy tubes. All these holes are under the hartop and out of the weather when you put it back on for the winter.

My back window just started acting up. (motor seems to be trying but window doesn't move) I can grab it by hand and push it up and down to get the tailgate open.

Why I mentioned above was that I was thinking that it would be a little easier to justify the fast trac soft top purchase once I figured in the amount I would have had to spend on the window. I think I would leave it on 365, Bronco isnt daily driver and heat works like a champ.

STC available in several colors, the same top as JBG's but I think their colors are limited. scroll down to the 80-96 Fastrac. I wanted blue but it was unavailable, so I got the gray, my truck is the two tone blue and gray so it works out pretty good. Here are the links to the flyer and pictures.

I remember that site now, the fast trac is a nice looking top. I prefer the skyler cab style top to the STC top though. Guess I'll start saving for a top. -BBB
