Hi Everybody!
I am new to this site. I just bought a 69' F100 as a bit of a project truck and so that I can hook up with a club that has the same interests in classic trucks. I have a couple of questions regarding mine, first) it has a 360 V8 in it, was that engine even available back in the day as an option or should I view this engine as not original. second, does anyone know how to decipher the VIN number? I am tring to research my truck to learn everything I possibly can about her and her past. Any help will be greatly appreciated. By the way, are there any classic truck club in the Tulsa area?
Thanks,
Bret

Welcome to the site, and welcome to our chapter.
Afraid that I too am unable to help you in your quest for information about you truck. Although, as already mentioned, there are other forums that will have the information you desire. Also, our very own Alice (1978FordTruckGirl) has a F-100 that is very prime, and she too may have some information for you.
Once again, welcome. And dont forget to stop by the chapter forum occationally, as we are in the works on a few get togethers in the area.

Welcome to the club, young gun. I will do some digging to see if I can find out the info you need. I've read somewhere how to decipher the codes, but it didn't sink in the first time. I'll go back and reread and let you know. There is also an address for Ford that you can write to that will give you the history of the truck (It's past owners, etc.) I'll try to find that too.
