Thumbs down Major Oil Leak !!!!

Just picked up oil and filter to change the oil in my truck !! When I got home I noticed that my truck was ****ing oil all over the driveway..... Somewhere between work and my house which is about a 20 min drive, I sprung a major leak at the rear of my oil pan. I'm guessing it is the main seel ??? Anyone ever heard of a problem with oil pan or main seel leaking in the newer 7.3's If I stop for 15 mins I leave a puddle about 6 inches round on the ground !! Bad news !!

Did you check for rust on the pan? There is a TSB about the pans rusting.

It looks like it's coming from the back of the pan, right where it joins to the trans... I guess it's possible that if the pan is really rusty there it could have broke the seal... Sound reasonable ??? So I guess I should just drop the pan and reseal it and see if that fixes the problem ??

Check on the top of the motor, in the fuel filter area. See if there is any oil up there! Mine did about the same thing and it was the HPOP (high pressure oil pump).
