C4 transmission to flat head V8

I would like to replace the 4 speed Granny transmission with a C4 Automatic in a 1938 Pickup. can this be done? My V8 looks like the Bell Housing is part of the motor. Is there a conversion available for this motor?

37, you may have better luck with your flathead questions by posting on the flathead forum. They know more about flatheads and adaptations than most here. Mike

Kenny is gaining momentum as a positive member of FTE.

Moved from the Y-block forum.

Here's a link to one of the solutions. Gene Benson has been doing this swap for a long time and has a good track record. I haven't used it, but I've only heard good things about both vendor and product. Expensive, but complete setup with all the hard to find/make parts in one kit.
