Load rating question

If I put LT tires with a D or E rating on my 16 stock wheels, will I be able to fully inflate the LTs?

If the LT's inflate to 70 or 80 psi and the stock wheel is rated to only 65psi, what problem will I have if I inflate to 70 or 80psi?

With the stiffer walls on the LT, I could ride at 65 psi but I'd rather inflate to 70-80.

Thanks

Mark

I guess those wheels were intended for use with 'P' tires? Looks like you need to change the wheels to be able to safely use the higher capacity LT tires at full pressure.

I would imagine your wheels have a lower weight carrying capacity than wheels designed for an LT tire, in addition to the difference in pressure rating. I don't know if that's a concern to your load situation or not, just thought I'd mention it.
